Republicans will continue to hold all state-wide elected offices in Ohio.
Governor John Kasich led a big election night victory by winning a second term, with 64% of the vote in yesterday’s election. Mike DeWine, Jon Husted, Dave Yost, and Josh Mandel all coasted too.
In Kentucky, Mitch McConnell won reelection to the U.S. Senate.
Locally, Hamilton County voters approved an increase in the sales tax to make repairs at Union Terminal.
Cecil Thomas topped Charlie Winburn for the state senate 9th district seat. Republican Chris Monzel won reelection to the Hamilton County Commission. Ralph Winkler edged former mayor, Charlie Luken, in the race for probation judge.
