Lauren Hill is being remembered as much more than a basketball player from Mt. St. Joe’s.
Several thousand people filled Cintas Center, yesterday, for a public memorial service for Hill, who died last week after a battle with brain cancer.
While she used basketball to raise awareness and money for disease research, speakers at the service called her a hero, a role model, and an inspiration.
