The Butler County teenager accused of trying to kill his parents will be in court next week to face adult charges.
A grand jury indicted 16 year-old Mitchell Simon, yesterday, of attempted aggravated murder and aggravated arson.
Simon is accused of tying his parent’s bedroom door shut in October, then setting fire to the family’s Liberty Township home. His parents survived the attack, but were injured during their escape.
