A Hamilton County judge has awarded Sam DuBose’s 13 children with around a quarter-million dollars each for their wrongful death settlement.
Probate judge Ralph Winkler awarded each of his children with $218,000. The Enquirer reports that this money was split up from a settlement with the University of Cincinnati that included $4.85 million dollars.
The settlement was the result of the wrongful death of Sam DuBose, who was shot by a university police officer last year.
