Olympian, Tyson Gay whose daughter was shot and killed by a stray bullet offered a heartfelt speech to his community. His daughter, Trinity Gay who would’ve turned 16yrs old this December passed away Sunday due to gun violence. She was not the intended target and three men have been arrested in connection to the shooting.
Friends and family gathered together during a candlelight vigil at the high school she attended. Gay graciously thanked his supporters, yet also taking advantage of the opportunity to express the need for peace and love. “I don’t want to read in the paper next week about another senseless killing. It has to stop!” See below.
Old School 100.3 offers our deepest condolences to the Gay family and all who knew Trinity.
